How to read this

• One index point compares the bulk pollen quotation of a month with the median month of 2024, which reads 100.
• A month with no published quotation carries no value; the chart leaves a gap and names the reason. Spain publishes the campaign quotations once a year, so the newest months can stand empty.
• The index is not real time and not an offer price.

Observation

One MAPA monthly quotation of “Polen a granel” (bulk pollen, national production), in euros per kilogram.

Eligible month

Each month with a quotation.

Price of a month

The quotation of the month.

Base

The median quotation of the months of 2024. The base year reads 2024 = 100.

Duplicates

When two MAPA documents give a quotation for the same month, the document with the latest Last-Modified time wins.

Never used

MAPA also publishes “Polen envasado” (packaged pollen). The reader keeps it in the raw layer; the index never uses it.
